✅ What You'll Achieve

You’ll be able to send and receive emails like [email protected] using Gmail.

🔧 What You Need

  • A Google Workspace (GSuite) account – Start here if you don’t have one

  • Access to your domain settings (either on Vsble or your domain provider)

  • The list of Google’s MX records (don’t worry, we provide them below)

🔁 Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Sign in to Your Google Workspace Admin Console

  1. Log in with the admin email you set up for your GSuite account.

Step 2: Find Your Domain Settings

If you bought your domain with Vsble:

  1. Login to your domain dashboard at www.vsble.domains

  2. Click on "manage" next to the domain name

  3. Click on the Nameservers & DNS tab

  4. Add new MX records described under Step4

If your domain is from another provider (like GoDaddy, IONOS, etc.):

  1. Log in to your domain provider

  2. Find the DNS settings, Zone Editor, or Manage DNS

Step 3: Delete Existing MX Records

Before adding Google's MX records, delete any existing ones to avoid conflict.

Look for rows labeled MX, and either:

  • Select them and click Delete

  • Or click an Edit/Delete icon beside each

Step 4: Add Google MX Records

Use the following settings exactly as shown:

Priority

Mail Server

1

ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

5

ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

5

ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

10

ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

10

ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Make sure:

  • Type is MX

  • Name / Host is either @ or left blank

  • TTL (if shown) can stay at default (like 3600)

Step 5: Save Your Changes

Click Save or Apply Changes on your domain provider panel.

Step 6: Let Google Verify the Domain

Go back to your Google Admin Console:

  • Click Verify domain if prompted

  • Google may take a few minutes to several hours to check if MX records are set correctly

🕒 How Long Does It Take?

  • Email delivery might start working within 30 minutes, but full propagation may take up to 48 hours.

SUMMERY & QUESTIONS

Are Google MX Records Always the Same?

Yes.
The MX records for Gmail (Google Workspace/GSuite) are the same for everyone. You only need to add these 5 records, and nothing else is required.

Here they are again:

Priority

Mail Server (MX Record)

1

ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

5

ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

5

ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

10

ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

10

ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

These are the only MX records you need to use for Gmail to work with your custom domain.

Do I Need to Add Anything Else? SPF, DKIM, etc.?

These are optional but recommended for email security and deliverability:

  1. SPF Record (prevents others from sending emails using your domain):

    • Type: TXT

    • Name/Host: @

    • Value: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all

  2. DKIM + DMARC:

    • These can be set up inside the Google Admin Console.

    • Google generates these for you after your domain is verified.

    • Guide: Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC

But for just getting Gmail working with your domain, only the 5 MX records are required.
